Blue Attitude

Blue Attitude, aka David Bell, has been involved in music since the early 1970's. He has played in many bands over the years. The last, The West Side Blues Band, did the bar band circuit in Brampton and Mississauga Ontario, Canada during the mid 1990's.

After trying to keep a gigging band together on a part time basis for many years he decided to call it quits after the breakup of The West Side Blues Band, and instead concentrate on writing and recording original material.

The internet has drastically changed the music scene for the independent artist.

"How cool is it to be able to create music with people from all over the world that you have never met, trading files back and forth over the internet? I feel honored to be a part of this collaboration, and to work with world class musicians such as Charles Beatty and dREAM fACTORY. They produce music of a quality just as good or better than anything else out there today."

Dave has contributed four instrumentals to this project; Blues for Albert is Dave's dedication to Albert King. Albert was the first blues guitarist Dave got into back in the early 70's, and is still a favorite. The main melody line is similar to the vocal line in Albert's song "As the years go passing by". Feeling Blue is a slow, melancholy blues number with a strong melody line. Swing Thing is an uptempto number with a swing feel that features Dave's daughter, Erin Bell, on bass guitar. Funky Blue is not a traditional blues progression, more of a blues feel over a funky type backbeat. All music composed and produced by Dave with the exception of Funky Blue which was co-written with Greg Goss. Greg also plays bass and handles the percussion on this tune.

Dave also plays guitar on tracks by Wezel and was featured as a guest on one track by dREAM fACTORY.
